The University of Seville Library has agreements in place with leading publishers to support open access publishing. Through these agreements, authors from the University of Seville can benefit from discounts or full funding of article processing charges (APCs).
The Library undertakes to inform and advise researchers throughout the process and to deposit the article in IdUS to increase its visibility and ensure its preservation.
These agreements only cover article processing charges (APCs) for publication in Open Access. Publishers may charge other types of fees, such as for extra pages, colour images, tables, etc., which must be borne by the authors.
Agreements with the publishers ACS, Elsevier, Springer and Wiley are currently being negotiated for renewal in 2025.
At this stage, we have no information on how these negotiations will affect the terms or the journals included in these publishers’ portfolios.
