Accessibility

We are committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of the technology they use or their abilities. We are constantly working to improve the experience for all users and to implement best practices in web accessibility.

This statement applies to the main website and its pages under the currently published domain.

Statement of Compliance

Partially compliant: The site largely complies with the WCAG 2.2 Level AA criteria, but there are still areas under review and subject to ongoing improvement.

Note: installing an accessibility toolbar does not in itself guarantee compliance with WCAG. In addition to this tool, we are correcting the source code (semantics, contrast, focus, keyboard navigation, labels and relationships, etc.).

Measures and standards

To achieve and maintain accessibility, we follow these measures:

  • Compliance with WCAG 2.2 (Level AA) of the W3C.

  • Reference to European standard EN 301 549 applicable to ICT products and services.

  • Semantic design and layout (correct use of headings, lists, ARIA landmarks and form labels).

  • Fully keyboard-navigable with visible focus.

  • Appropriate colour contrasts and support for zoom/text resizing without loss of functionality.

  • Alternative text and accessible names for images, icons and controls.

  • Subtitles and/or transcripts for audiovisual content where applicable.

  • Automated testing and regular manual reviews (see “Evaluation Method”).

Accessibility Assistant (EQUALWEB)

The site incorporates EqualWeb’s accessibility assistant to provide display settings and additional support.

How to open the assistant:

  • Click on the accessibility button/tooltip visible in the corner of the screen.

Available settings (examples):

  • Increased text size and spacing.

  • High contrast/inverted modes and desaturation.

  • Link highlighting and focus; large cursor.

  • Text-to-speech and reading guide.

  • Font customisation (including dyslexia-friendly fonts).

Known limitation:
These settings are optional and specific to the user’s device/browser. They do not replace the structural corrections required in the site’s code, nor do they alone guarantee full compliance with WCAG.
If you cannot see the assistant button, try reloading the page or disabling any blockers that may be hiding interface elements.

Technical compatibility

The site is designed to be compatible with:

  • The latest stable versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Microsoft Edge.

  • Current desktop and mobile operating systems.

  • Common screen readers (e.g. NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack) and keyboard navigation.
There may be issues with browsers that do not support modern standards or with outdated versions.

Limitations and inaccessible content

We are aware that some content may not yet be fully accessible. This includes, amongst other things:

  • Old or scanned PDF documents without accessible tagging.

  • Third-party maps or embedded content without equivalent alternatives.

  • Occasional errors regarding contrast or focus order in legacy components.

  • Missing or improvable alternative text for some decorative or older images.
We are working to resolve these issues in future updates. If you spot a problem not listed here, please let us know (see “Contact and feedback”).

Assessment method

  • Self-assessment based on WCAG 2.2 AA checklists.
  • Regular automated testing (including checks using EqualWeb and supplementary validators).
  • Manual review using a keyboard, screen readers and contrast audits.

The assessment is repeated following significant design changes, new features or deployments.
