The Data Management Plan (DMP) is a document that describes the lifecycle of the data collected, generated and processed during the research project. It covers aspects such as the project title and description, the methodology and standards used, how the data will be preserved and shared, the name and type of repository where it will be deposited, etc.
Data management plans have a threefold objective:
A first draft of the Data Management Plan must be submitted within the first six months of the project. As the Plan evolves alongside the project, it must be updated at least twice: halfway through the project and upon its completion. Furthermore, a new version must be produced if there are significant changes to the data during the project. The deadlines depend on the specific requirements of the call for proposals to which you are applying

DMP ONLINE: developed by the Digital Curation Centre, it serves as a template for drawing up a Data Management Plan in accordance with the European Commission’s framework. Its ‘Checklist for a Data Management Plan’ is highly recommended
Research Data Management Plan: an online tool developed by the Consortium of Catalan University Services, based on the model created by the DCC (Digital Curation Centre, UK). It includes real-life examples in the questionnaire to assist in the preparation of the Data Management Plan.
