The Green Library
The BUS recognises the need to integrate environmental ethics into all its activities and takes this important responsibility seriously. It aims to contribute to environmental sustainability through the effective management of material resources, their appropriate use, the recycling of waste and energy saving.
The Library is committed to:
- Establish a system for the continuous improvement of environmental quality in our facilities, processes and services.
- Prevent, reduce and eliminate environmental pollution as far as possible, and rationalise the consumption of material, natural and energy resources.
- Promote the recycling, recovery and reuse of materials.
- Comply with applicable environmental regulations and other environmental requirements adopted by the institution in all the tasks we carry out.
- Contribute to environmental education and awareness amongst our staff and users, other members of the university community and society in general.
- Disseminate, communicate and make available to the community the BUS’s best environmental practices.
