How to obtain a library card

  • US University Community [Students, Academic and Research Staff (PDI) and Technical, Management, Administration and Services Staff (PTGAS)]: You do not need a specific card to use this service. The University Smart Card (TUI) is sufficient. Download the mobile app via this link: app
  • Alumni: must provide proof of identity by presenting their ID card or, if they do not yet have one, the registration confirmation message, and show their identity document.
  • Research staff, collaborators and other users who are not members of the university community but are affiliated with the US must use their US ID card.
  • External users: require a library card issued by the BUS. They can apply for this online via the digital portal, or in person by completing this form. In both cases, applicants must be of legal age and reside in Seville city or the surrounding province, and must provide a passport-sized photograph.

Please note: if your library card is lost or stolen, you must notify your library as soon as possible to prevent unauthorised use. You must also notify the Secretariat of your centre. The cardholder will be responsible for any transactions carried out using the card until the loss is reported to the Library. In this case, and until a new card is issued, you may use the Loan Service by providing valid identification.
